Documentary reviewed in journal

Journal-of-Nonprofit-Education-and-LeadershipWhat is Philanthropy? was recently reviewed in the Journal of Nonprofit Education and Leadership, Volume 5, Issue 1.  Some of the comments from Cedric Adderley of Capital University in the review include:

  • “What Is Philanthropy? is by far the most definitive and well-produced presentation in video format on the subject of the practice of philanthropy.”
  • “The documentary is a thorough and candid presentation of the diverse nature of philanthropy, providing viewers with an opportunity to learn and experience actions and opportunities through the lens of individuals closely associated with multiple philanthropic organizations and initiatives.”
  • “Alaimo leaves no stone unturned, including a discussion of responsible versus irresponsible philanthropy and why individuals and organizations
    act as they do.

Producer Alaimo commented, “Dr. Adderly’s comments were not only generous, but his constructive criticisms in the review will be heeded as new formats to be used in the educational markets are developed. Such a critique is timely and valuable.”
